Are you only able to open your garage door at night? While it may seem strange that your garage won’t work in the morning, there’s an explanation behind it.
This issue happens when there’s sunlight shining into the garage door sensors found at the base of your overhead panel. There’s a few solutions.
First, try cleaning the sensor lens gently with a soft cloth. You can also try relocating the sensors or positioning them at a different angle to avoid direct sunlight.
If those options don’t help, you’ll probably need to buy replacement garage door sensors. It seems this issue is mostly due to older sensors. We have not run into any reports of this issue happening in newer systems
