That’s why when your garage stops working, it can be an upsetting experience. If you’re experiencing problems with your door, continue reading. We’ve outlined some of the most common garage door repair tips just for you.
Troubleshooting a Garage Door That Won’t Open
If you’re using an automatic opener, try replacing the batteries or using a spare remote. If you have a wall switch, try that as well. Make sure the opener is plugged in too. Another simple thing to check is your sensors. If you don’t hear your opener operating at all, then there may be an electrical problem or the opener needs to be repaired. If you can hear the opener struggling to lift the door, the issue may be mechanical in nature. Visually inspect your door and look for signs of broken garage door parts. A snapped garage door pulley, track misalignment, and broken springs can all prevent operation. Repairing a garage door on your own can be tough.
